‘Clemente’ Screenplay Wins At New Hope Film Festival

The feature length screenplay about baseball legend and humanitarian Roberto Clemente was an Official Selection with top honors at the 2017 New Hope Film Festival in Pennsylvania. Written by Joseph Loizzi and Ian Eugene Ryan, Clemente received three jury award nominations: Best Script, Best Narrative Feature and Best Period Script (Winner).   Clemente was also a Finalist and Top 10 garnering Honoarble Mention in the WriteMovies 2016 International Screenwriting Competition.

The project is based on the PBS documentary American Experience:Roberto Clemente, and is a property of Ryan’s production company – Period Pictures.

Hurricane Irma Relief Efforts

Roberto Clemente was an ardent humanitarian, devoting much of his life to social causes, specifically relief work to aid victims of natural disasters.  In continuing his legacy in the wake of Hurricane Irma, we’re making the public aware in every way possible the intense need for support in Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands and the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean.

Relief efforts are in effect and there is much more to be done.  For more information on how to give support to these specific areas in crisis:
